What is a core return/core charge?
Some products have a core price attached to them because the original manufacturer wants your broken part back. Manufacturers do this for things like alternators because they have the ability to take your broken part, fix it, and resell it.
Here’s how the process works: Let’s say we have a $200 part. We’re willing to sell it to you for $150 if you agree to send us the old part, which has a $50 core charge. You’ll pay the full price of $200 upfront, and then we’ll refund you the $50 core charge when we receive the old part from you. Ultimately, you’ll pay $150 plus your old part for a brand new part that costs $200.
In order to receive that core amount back, your part must be in rebuildable condition. There cannot be any parts missing and there cannot be structural harm done.
You must return the old part back to us in the original packaging that the new part was sent in. We do not accept junkyard cores. You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending the core part to us, including the cost of shipping the core back if it’s denied.
